    “The Linhay is an excellent house for a family get together.”

    There was ample kitchen equipment and the welcome goodies much appreciated. The house is well presented and clean. The hot tub and sauna were cleaned and maintained daily and popular with the family even on cold days. Sarah our hostess was very helpful and ready to respond to questions. The house is as described in the information with two bedrooms one side of the property and two at the other. This was ideal for us but should be borne in mind when thinking about sleeping arrangements ...

The Linhay is a generous and characterful barn conversion set in the peaceful village of Washford, close to the historic harbour town of Watchet and the rolling countryside of Somerset.

Sleeping up to nine guests, the property is arranged across two wings and features four thoughtfully laid‑out bedrooms, each with its own en‑suite facilities.

The sleeping arrangements include a king‑size bedroom with an en‑suite bath and shower over, a double bedroom with both a bath and separate shower, a twin room with an en‑suite shower, and a flexible family room with a double and single bed, also benefitting from an en‑suite shower.

A ground‑floor WC adds further convenience during busy mornings.

At the heart of The Linhay sits a well‑equipped kitchen, supported by a useful utility room, while the dining room seats eight and offers an appealing setting for relaxed meals and long, chatty evenings.

The sitting room is a particular highlight, featuring a woodburning stove and patio doors opening onto the decking, creating an inviting atmosphere throughout the year.

For those who enjoy a bit of friendly competition, the separate games room provides a pool table.

Situated in the delightful village of Washford in West Somerset are these two luxurious cottages. Sleeping a total of twenty five people between them, these two cottages have been beautifully decorated and furnished to a high standard. With most bedrooms having en-suite bathrooms, these two fabulous cottages offer all of the luxuries that you would expect from a holiday home. With country-style kitchens with flagstone floors, cosy sitting rooms with inviting woodburning stoves and exposed beams and stone walls throughout, these two cottages provide accommodation for the discerning holidaymaker. There is a private outdoor area at each of these cottages plus use of a large grassed area with access to a stream. Both cottages also have their own sauna. Just two miles from the coast, there are some beautiful coastal resorts to explore, including the ancient port of Watchet and Blue Anchor Beach. A fabulous holiday destination, there is a huge variety of attractions for everyone from these cottages, including the West Somerset Railway, historic houses and gardens and plenty of walking and cycling.

Washford is a West Somerset rural village, on the A39 between Minehead and Bridgwater. Located two miles from the pretty coastal port of Watchet, this is an ideal base from which to explore Exmoor National Park and The Quantock Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are many pretty coastal and inland villages to explore including Porlock with its steep hill and pretty winding streets, Dunster with dramatic castle perched above the historic village and the busy resort of Minehead with sandy beach, golf course and traditional seaside attractions.
