A beautiful home in a beautiful part of the country.

No.9 has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s very close to all Watchet’s amenities and the locals are very friendly and welcoming. Ideally placed for exploring the surrounding areas. Stephen the owner is very helpful and accommodating

One negative because we thought the bathroom arrangement was a little awkward with four adults.

One couple had to trek through the kitchen to use the facilities. Also we thought the lounge was a little dark. Everything else was first class, and the host could not have been more helpful. The property is excellently placed for the town.

Netflix is always a bonus the area is fantastic and watchet itself is very accomadating.

A very pieceful place to visit. No9 has everything you need, you can stay in and cook or go out in the village to eat. We have been here many times its great to meet family down here and catch up. Shall be there again next year.

A lovely home that was well equipped for a family of four.

Parking was easy and £30 for the week. We could access the beach in 3 minutes and there are plenty of pubs and cafes to meet needs. The home was very comfortable with good communication from the owners. I can see why people return to No.9.

We absolutely loved our time at no9 over the festive period.

The house was beautifully decorated and there was everything we needed. We couldn’t fault the cleanliness, the comfort or the facilities. Although the weather was very cold and windy the house was nice and warm. We plan to return one day.

No 9 was a fantastic place to stay in Watchet.

It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There was plenty of space for four adults and having two bathrooms was fantastic. The kitchen had everything we needed and the dishwasher was an added bonus! Stephen was great at communicating before and during our stay. We would love to return and would recommend No 9.

Spacious cottage close to all amenities in Watchet.

Don't need to worry about parking as there is a small public car park across the road, which you can use for £30 a week. Plenty of books and games you can use on a wet day. Walk the mineral trail or the coastal pass to Blue Anchor. Visit Dunster and the Castle.

Lovely clean house in the perfect location.

The house was equipped with everything you could need and the owner provided all the information needed to ensure a smooth check in. We had a lovely, well needed relaxing break.

We had a lovely stay and would definitely come again.

The cottage is in a good location for enjoying Watchet and we had no problems parking in the car park directly opposite the house. The owner is very responsive to questions and the property is obviously very well looked after. The only issue was that I didn't find the bed very comfortable so was a bit tired by the end, I had no complaints from the rest of the family though!

Wonderful stay in a lovely cottage .

We had everything we needed and more . Watchet is a small but friendly village , the harbour is lovely to sit in and watch the world go by. The railway is really good. The owners of the cottage were helpful and friendly. We used the car park over the road and never had any problems getting a space.

This is now the fifth time we have been it just gets better each time.

The weather made our stay even better whole week of sunshine. Thank you Stephen for allowing an early arrival. See you next year. Gareth.

Very nice property very comfortable.

cleanliness top Good selection of kitchen equipment and towels. The only glitch was the television which keeps cutting in and out but maybe that's to do with the location, other than that can't fault the place.

We could not have asked for anything more from a holiday rental property.

Immaculately clean and way more than fully equipped! A short walk from the beautiful harbour, shops and restaurants. The only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer! We'll be back. Margaret & Peter

This is now our 3rd visit to no 9 in watchet.

This is a lovely town cottage to stay in.

Well equipped with utensils, crockery, saucepans, oven dishes and cutlery. Good size fridge and freezer. Easy to use heating system. Many books to choose to read and lots of local pamphlets. Very clean with bright decor. Immediately opposite a car park for your car. You can pay for a weekly ticket of £25. Very convenient. Nice quiet area.

Easy parking in the car park directly opposite. Nice courtyard with seating. Stair guard great for keeping our small dog downstairs. Watchet as lovely as ever.

We had a lovely time, the cottage is in a great location for Watchet.

The owner was very helpful even leaving birthday things for our grandchild. The parking was not a problem just paid for the week which was simple and straight forward. The only thing we would have liked was some shelving in the bathroom as no where put toiletries for 5 people.

Lovely terraced property well situated for the town centre and harbour.

The courtyard at the back of the property is a great sun trap. Everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday you will find in Number 9. Excellent communication by Stephen, the owner.

Spacious, well maintained and equipped clean comfy home from home property.

Ideally located in middle of small seaside town. Owners seemed friendly and helpful. Locals took time to stop and talk. Things to do both on your doorstep and a short drive away.

The owners had thought of everything you could need and made sure it was available to make our stay really comfortable. Situated in the centre of Watchet with local amenities to meet all a visitor could want within easy reach. The surrounding area is beautiful, ideal for long beach walks (with the dog). Would recommend and hopefully love to return.?

Number nine was the perfect venue for our short Hogmanay break.

The house was cheery, comfy and welcoming and the owner could not have been more helpful. The house was central to everything the lovely Watchet has to offer and we had a wonderful time.

No 9 was just as good as the first time we went.

The weather this time was good. Its very quiet and peaceful watchet has everything you want in a small area. The house has everything you need coffee machine, Netflix, and a lovely enclosed garden just right for my little dog. Stephen and Sharon let us in early but our journey did not allow to get there early They left milk and a lovely bottle of wine which was very much appreciated. Shall definitely book again.

Despite the local floods and storms we had a great week in No 9.

The standard of cleanliness was excellent, with very comfortable beds. The owners had provided a most comprehensive guide to their property and the kitchen had everything we needed. The milk in the fridge and beers were much appreciated on our arrival. We would love to stay again.

The property was even better than expected - the owners have obviously put a great deal of love and energy into equipping and maintaining the house.

(We have never had a Nespresso machine before; ‘could get hooked!) The house is in a great position - a quiet street but in the heart of the lovely little town and only a few minutes walk from the harbour. We wished we were young enough to take advantage of all the interesting places to visit and the beautiful walks on offer! The only caveat is the step from kitchen to utility area, which both my husband and myself fell over (both over 80!) Could it be marked in some way? Fortunately - no damage was done! Although the owners were unable to meet us until the last day, they sent us some very comprehensive information by email and there were plenty of well- organised instruction leaflets and area guides in the property. A lovely place to stay!

All that we required of the property was there no issues re parking we had no problem parking opposite never had to use the larger car park a short walk away towards the seafront.

On arrival everything was very clean and a bottle of wine and milk was waiting for us. No9 has all the facilities that you need.

Close to the shops and pubs. Lovely quiet enclosed garden. There was a nice bottle of wine in the kitchen and some milk in the fridge on arrival. Good communication with the owner too. My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in No9.

Our 4th time at number 9.

Lovely clean property in centre of town. Weekly parking can be paid for in the car park opposite at a discounted rate via the phone app. Local shops 5 mins away and three major supermarkets just down the road at Minehead. Handy for all visitor attractions and its so easy to pop in to Devon for the day. Communication by owner is first class.

The owners have thought of everything that you might need. The location is great and Watchet is a great little town to explore.

downstairs shower was no able to use tiles were uneven could easly cut feet on them carpark was full on arriveal as they was a feastival on which didnt know about was toenail clippings on carpet in livingroom also music from pub was on till midnight both nights .

but over all was good stay realy enjoy ourselfs so big thank you for stay was a good chilling time

I will never come here again nor recommend it.

We slept the first night unknowingly on a sheet covered in animal hair. Although the owners changed the sheets, they would not entertain any compensation, which is pretty poor indeed!!

The third tome I've stayed at No 9.

Love the house, Watchet and surrounding area and will be back next year. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday is included. Love the small courtyard out the back.

Great accommodation and would recommend to family and friends.

Only downside Double bed creaks and mattresses could do with an upgrade. Happily pay a bit more for a guaranteed good nights sleep. Perhaps Sykes could rate mattresses on their website as there is such a big difference between poor quality and top quality. This accommodation had adequate mattresses but I have been to other holiday lets where it was very poor. I believe Premier Inns have a standard mattress which is very good.

We had the most wonderful week in Watchet in a real home from home; everything we needed, and more, was provided.

Clean, comfortable, dog-friendly and a welcoming bottle of wine... we were sad to leave but will definitely be back.

Great communications from owners. Unable to greet us face to face due to Covid restrictions but made us feel very welcome. Great emails sent before , during and after our stay to make sure all was OK. Lovely base to explore all that Watchet and the beautiful surrounding area has to offer.

This is a great cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Stephen was really good to deal with in accessing the property and wanting to ensure everything was just right. Watchet and the surrounding area is a real gem.

The ensuite bathroom is very small.

Light carpet throughout, so be warned if you have wet boots, or a dog.

Car park opposite bought a weekly ticket online Beach close by and plenty more including Dunster and All dog friendly Western super mare completely separate beach for them Dawlish ,Lynton and Lyn mouth all beautiful and within an hour by car Owners on hand to help with anything although we never needed them Such a great stay we’ve booked again for next year

We could not have asked for a nicer place to stay than No 9 Watchet and the friendly welcome, by the owner, was lovely.

The cottage was everything we were expecting and more. It was very comfortable and quiet and had everything we needed, we could not have asked for a nicer place to stay. Ideally located opposite the car park, so handy if you have a car. A short walk through the car park, took you into the main street of Watchet and close to all amenities. Watchet is a lovely friendly place and we enjoyed our visits to Sam's Deli for a morning coffee (also recommend his homemade pies and pasties, they are delicious!). The food at The Star, is also very nice and is a lovely pub. If you choose to stay at No 9 Watchet, you will not be disappointed...enjoy.

9 Anchor Street Watchet is a delightful town on the WSR Line.

Our cottage was equally delightful and extremely well located to the rail station, bus stop , co-op and esplanade. The cottage has been nicely decorated in a nautical theme. The living room was very comfortable. There is a large dining room table. The galley kitchen was well equipped ( although I couldn’t find a colander and grater). The twin beds were comfortable. The upstairs shower was small but it certainly worked well and there was plenty of hot water. There was a nice outdoor sitting area which we accessed the one day it didn’t rain. We appreciated the welcome gift of wine and milk. The owner provided a warm welcome and helped us get settled. Response to all queries was swift. The heater worked well and despite the fact it was June was needed during the cool wet week we spent there. The cottage is well equipped with reading material. It was a very quiet cottage for sleeping and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

The holiday cottage was as expected.

The upstairs shower room was very small so if you were a large person you may find it difficult. However there was a shower room downstairs. Parking was just across the road and was not a problem.£5 fee per day. The owners left information about the house and a few local things. They also kindly left us milk, tea and coffee which was very much appreciated oh also a bottle of wine. Watchet for us was disappointing having never been there before I was under the impression that it was a small town. There were a few Public Houses a Co Op a very nice Deli for take way sandwiches, a couple of Cafes but not very much else. After 530pm most things were shut and became a ghost town if you have dogs there seems to be some lovely walks but we did not have dogs so in the evenings we just walked around the village. Unfortunately the weather was not good to us so unless we sat in the pub there was nothing for us to do. Sadly we would not return but this is no reflection on the property just the area.

We really enjoyed ourselves.

The weather was kind. The setting perfect. The Steam Railway nearby was great. Cottage was lovely and the owners ever so helpful. The only reason did not go ten out of ten was no hair dryer. The ladies missed having one. Otherwise absolutely brilliant.

Car parking is literally opposite the cottage. The Carpark was never full. Really enjoyed our stay. Comfy beds and sofas . Nice enclosed court yard for the dogs. 5 mins walk to shops , seafront and train. I would recommend this cottage to anyone. 5* holiday. Thank you.

From start to finish the owners were helpful and communicative.

This is a lovely property that has been beautifully decorated with a nautical theme. There is a small couetyard and plenty of places to take the dog for a walk nearby. The location is excellent, you are easily within walking distance to lots of places for eating out and plenty of pubs. There is also a coop within a few minutes walk. There always seems to be lots going on by the harbour on the esplanade and my daughter joined in with crabbing by the lighthouse one morning. The cottage is also 2 minutes walk from the steam train which allows dogs and they are incredibly friendly. We got an all day rover and would recommend you spend some extra time at Bishops Lydeard where they have two museums. The people there were kind enough to show us inside a first class sleeping compartment from 1897! I would also recommend you drive up to blue anchor for breakfast at The Driftwood and closer to the cottage you have Chives for breakfast, Sam's Deli for lunch and The star for a nice dinner. I would not recommend the fish and chip shop, the chips were actually grey. If you don't mind a drive with some breathtaking views, I recommend you visit Polock Weir and Lynton/Lynmouth. There you will find some lovely places for cream tea and a great market which I think is on a Tuesday and Wednesday.

The pay for parking (£25 per week) was a first and wasn’t obvious till we had booked. This is not payed to the owners but the council and is due to the age and design of the street. As a suggestion maybe make this a little clearer in the pre-booking description? The town friendly, quiet with lovely surroundings. Will be back!
