Ash House is beautiful, my friends and I stayed there for the weekend and the host, James, couldn't have been more accommodating.

The house was clean and had everything we needed. Bedrooms were amazing and spacious with comfy beds, gorgeous kitchen with all the appliances you need, and the garden with the wood fire hot tub was perfect. I would highly recommend this house, it is perfect for large family / friends gatherings, we would definitely go back.

Although it’s located on the high street, the public car park is only a couple of minutes’ walk away, which made things really convenient. James, the owner, was incredibly attentive and made sure everything was ready for our stay, with the hot tub heated and the wood-burner in the kitchen prepared before we arrived. We used the hot tub every day and there was always plenty of wood supplied to keep it heated throughout our stay. There were even towels and robes left out specifically for using the hot tub, which was a really thoughtful touch. We also took advantage of the pizza pack he offered, which included freshly made dough and a great selection of toppings to use in the Gozney pizza oven - surprisingly easy and really fun to use. The outside space was fantastic and really made the stay feel special, with the hot tub, pizza oven, barbecues and newly added pool table giving everyone plenty to enjoy. The house itself is luxurious, comfortable and a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. Every bedroom felt like a boutique hotel room, all with beautiful en-suites. We had a fantastic weekend and would definitely recommend Ash House to anyone looking for a special stay.

Had a lovely weekend stay at Ash House with my wife and our three children plus their own partners and children.

Plenty of space for all of us with facilities to match. The large wisteria in the garden was in full bloom and looked fabulous.

We were three families visiting in early May and this house was fantastic for us.

Lots of space indoors and out, all the bathrooms you could need and that worn aesthetic that looks fantastic with a building of this period. James the owner and host was fantastic, set the hot tub up for us and then we just kept topping up the temperature, he also was extremely helpful in all aspects and responded very promptly. Overall a perfect stay for us, would stay again.

Beautiful and large property, with excellent garden and hot tub/BBQ/Pizza oven space outside.

Bedrooms very spacious with excellent mattresses and linen, all with en suite. Comfortable and modern decor with wood-burning fires. All in all an excellent and grand property in the centre of town with convenient parking. The owner James was very helpful and responsive throughout.

We stayed at Ash House for our parents 60th wedding anniversary.

We had an amazing time! The house was as we expected and more! Plenty of space for 10 people, although there was 8 in our party. The house is nicely decorated. The fires and the radiators in the house allowed us to keep lovely and warm. The garden hotub and outdoor bbq is great for outdoor socialising with the people you are staying with. Would we go back again, yes without any doubt!!

The house itself was amazing, and I would say better than the pictures show especially the outdoor area and hot tub. The kitchen and dining room were perfect for a dinner party. Log fires in all the main rooms. I would definitely recommend this property. It is great value and a stunning house. 10/10

We stayed at Ash House over the first week of January, and it was truly an amazing experience.

The house is massive, offering plenty of space and beautiful ensuite rooms. The kitchen is enormous and fully equipped with everything you might need. There are charming wood burners in different rooms downstairs, creating a cozy atmosphere. The owners were incredibly welcoming and always ready to help with any questions we had. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there, which made the stay even more special. The wood-burning hot tub was a standout feature—it took a bit of effort to heat, but it was the hottest and most relaxing soak we’ve ever had, giving a wonderfully zen feeling. Yes, the house can get a bit chilly in the coldest part of winter, but the warm duvets and the cozy atmosphere made it perfectly comfortable at night. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.
