“Pippin is a very nice property in Martin, which is very attractive village.”

It is private, quiet, apart from the hoots of Tawny owls, convenient for visiting Salisbury and other interesting places and close to several village pubs which serve good food. There’s a part-time village shop in Martin which is well stocked. Highly recommended.

The property

Pippin has been tastefully modernised to a very high standard including fabulous furnishings, high ceilings, which give the accommodation a light and spacious feel, and oak and limestone flooring with underfloor heating to keep those feet warm on cold winter days.

The cottage occupies one end of a single storey building, approached by a winding gravel path across a large grassed/wild flower area adjoining a paddock.

Nestled in a great area of West Hampshire, close to the New Forest and on the border with Wiltshire and Dorset - this is a location where you can, literally, walk for miles and miles, enjoy some super local pubs and soak up an area of England with exceptional countryside.

Pippin can be booked together with Russet, making the space ideal for large get-togethers and special celebrations (Russet accommodates two (plus two) guests).

A total of 10 people can be accommodated - Pippin and Russet can be booked together as The Orchard

About the location

FORDINGBRIDGE

Salisbury 11 miles; Bournemouth 18 miles.

Fordingbridge is a traditional Hampshire town on the banks of the River Avon, and offers a good mix of shops, pubs and restaurants, a small museum of local history and a display of original work by the artist Augustus John, who lived here for many years. The medieval Great Bridge, with seven graceful arches, is a major feature of the town. The immediate area is a wonderful place for visitors, with its beautiful scenery, nature havens, cycleways and welcoming people. Fordingbridge is conveniently situated for the magnificent cathedral city of Salisbury to the north, and the super seaside resort of Bournemouth to the south. The stunning New Forest National Park is only 1.5 miles from the town, where you can explore thousands of acres of moor, heath and woodland frequented by wild ponies, and dotted with quaint villages and country pubs. Within a short drive is the magnificent Elizabethan manor house at Breamore, as well as the New Forest Water Park, and a trip to Beaulieu, home of the National Motor Museum is not to be missed. This is a great location for exploring this picturesque and interesting area.

Please note £25 charge per pet.

Please note the games room is in a shared communal area, for all guests to enjoy.
