Fixit Cottage

Lovely, well appointed cottage situated just outside Kingsbridge.

Swimming pool is fantastic and at 29-30c is just right to swim in. Hosts are kind, warm and generous. Accommodation ideal for families. We would happily return. 5* from us.

This was our fourth stay at Fixit, think that says a lot about the place.

We are always warmly welcomed, the accommodation is superb and the swimming pool is the icing on the cake. I'm sure we will be be back for our fifth visit.

Excellent cottage just outside of Kingsbridge.

The 2-storey cottage has just about everything one could need for a week or two in Devon. We especially liked the outfoor covered patio area and charcoal barbeque. The hosts, Beni and Jonathan, were very friendly and accommodating.

Enjoyed another lovely holiday on Coombe Farm.

A shame that we had to leave. Great location and facilities. The owners are wonderful. All being well we'll return in 2026. Peter & Julie Hall.

Property exactly as advertised. Cozy and peaceful surroundings. Hosts had thought of everything that could be required for our family of four- we needn’t of brought any essentials!!! Everything kept to a high standard and beautifully clean and comfortable. Access to the swimming pool and games room was a bonus and great hit with all. This short holiday was a real treat, a home from home. We could still sit outside under the covered seating area despite the pouring rain, and wouldn’t hesitate to book this place again. Great place, thanks Beni and Jonathan.

We had a lovely stay at Fixit cottage!

We are a family of 4 with a young child and a baby and it was a great base for the many beautiful beaches in the area. Beni provided a cot for the baby which was great and it has a built in stairgate which provided peace of mind. We cooked every night although remember to bring your salt, pepper and oil as there was none there (the holiday cottage lottery!). Lovely comfy beds too

The cottage was comfortable and conveniently located (car not required), quiet and modern.

On the negative side, the cottage does not have a view and The games room needs maintenance.

Fixit Cottage was lovely, clean and well kept with everything we needed for our holiday, including a warm welcome from the owners, Beni and Jonathan, who provided a lovely cream tea and beautiful flowers on our arrival.

The cottage was wam and welcoming and the swimming pool was fab. We enjoyed the games room too, but the pool table was not that level which was a bit of a disappointment, although Beni did say that she would sort this out for future guests. Overall, a lovely holiday experience in a beautiful part of the country. Mark & Liz

We had a wonderful stay at Fixit Cottage.

It had everything we needed, was comfortable and the owners were very welcoming and friendly. The cottage is well laid out and the newly refurbished kitchen was a bonus and very well equipped. The swimming pool was a big hit. We were lucky enough to have the pool to ourselves and it was a lovely way to relax after a day exploring this beautiful corner of Devon. We will definitely visit again and stay at Fixit Cottage.

Wonderful cottage in a great location.

Close to Kingsbridge with easy access to shops and facilities. Great base to explore the South Hams. Owners were very welcoming and hospitable. We will return !

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at fixit cottage.

Greeted and made to feel welcome by Beni the owner with delicious cream tea on the table and fresh flowers. So peaceful, comfortable and relaxing with super king beds and lovely lounge. Lovely outside sheltered seating area with barbecue. Just out of town but in the countryside down private lane. Would thoroughly recommend it with added bonus of lovely free indoor pool and various health facilities in the farm outbuildings, and fishing lake too!

Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful and the cottage is extremely comfortable and well equipped.

The pool and games room were an added bonus. The location is very central for sightseeing in the area and all in all we had a really enjoyable and relaxing holiday. We would certainly return to the cottage in the future. Ian

Fixit Cottage was warm and welcoming and we really enjoyed our time.

The pool was great and the kitchen very well equipped - from scales to a garlic press! The shower was hot and strong and easy to control and the beds were comfortable. The sofas perhaps not quite so comfortable and the television channels were limited - a Freeview box would be better than a Sky box without the viewing card because it would give you far more choice. But we would definitely recommend this cottage.

Jonathon and Bene were wonderful hosts and the scones and flowers on arrival were a thoughtful touch. The location of the farm was ideal - close to the main roads to get out and about, but sooo quiet once you were home. Would highly recommend if you’re heading to Devon.

Perfect holiday home for our family of 3!

Beds were comfy, both bathrooms were great and the shower pressure was fine too! Kitchen had everything you needed, the only thing we said is that a couple more pint glasses would have been good. Cottage has its own parking space and a small area outside the house. We used the pool most days which really was an added bonus to our holiday. The location is one of the best things - literally a couple minutes into Kingsbridge and 15/20mins to Salcombe or Dartmouth with some beautiful beaches. We would highly recommend!

Beni was very welcoming and was on hand if you needed her.

She replied promptly to any queries I had prior to arrival . The huge scones were delicious and the welcoming flowers were beautiful . I loved waking up to the sound of birds and the occasional distant sounds of cows mooing . Everything we needed was available in the house, and it was nice sitting on the veranda enjoying in the evenings .

The holiday property was all we hoped for, spacious, light, clean and in a great location. A very relaxing week in lovely Devon.

We had such an amazing holiday.

We loved the cottage: clean, comfortable, great facilities. The hosts were lovely, left us to ourselves but when we chatted, they were so nice. The swimming pool is amazing, we used it every day. So lovely to have a pool to yourselves, our 7 year old really increased his confidence swimming. There are so many nice places to visit nearby, too many to mention. If you like to do a bit of exercise on holiday, it's great to have the gym and there are some extreme hills for running!

An excellent cottage in a lovely setting.

Excellent on site facilities (eg swimming pool) and very convenient to Kingsbridge. The owners are very helpful and accessible. Well equipped kitchen. Two minor points: Upstairs bedroom mattress good, but downstairs mattresses rather soft. A tray to take tea/coffee to the upstairs lounge would be useful.

We spent a fabulous week at Fixit cottage.

The cottage was well appointed, with everything you might need, it was very clean on arrival. We were greeted with fresh flowers and a delicious cream tea. The indoor pool was excellent, very clean and a great size, my children loved the games room too. We found lots of excellent beaches, we really enjoying mooching around Kingsbridge too, there are lots of great local shops. The owners Beni and Jonathan were both very friendly and incredibly helpful during our stay. We would definitely recommend Fixit cottage, in-fact we hope to return.

The owners were extremely charming and helpful but it was such a shame that the cottage itself was a bit tatty it could have done with a fresh coat of paint especially on rusty radiators and walls and some of the furnishings were very tired .

My husband burnt his hand badly on an oven glove that disintegrated on use . A small bit of tlc would have made this cottage lovely instead of just okay as it is in such a lovely setting and the use of the pool was a bonus. We also felt that it would have been useful to warn us that certain mobile networks had no connection such as EE

A lovely holiday cottage, the owners Jonathan & Beni went above & beyond in their hospitality to make our stay all the more enjoyable.

A welcoming cream tea on arrival, fresh eggs & even taxiing us down to a local pub the Churchhouse Inn for a delicious meal. The fab indoor heated swimming pool is an added bonus!

The owners were nice and helpful and couldn't do enough for us .

cream tea on arrival .and even a dozen fresh farm eegs .only downside was the rain every day .but managed to go fishing once for two hours .had two six pound carp .about fifty roach .and four break .one a chuck .5 * .

A fabulous stay. Very hospitable and friendly hosts - fresh flowers and cream tea on arrival, with convivial conversations as paths crossed. Comfortable cottage; would have appreciated a radio or cd player, but such a petty point. Lovely swimming pool. Everything set in a tranquil, but active, farm in a quiet valley. Lots to see and do in the area. Would love to go back to Fixit Cottage and Devon.

Absolutely loved this cottage.

Really well equipped with everything we needed. Great location for exploring Kingsbridge, Salcombe and surrounding beaches. Pool was an added bonus and great option for rainy days. Cottage was so peaceful and the most gorgeous cream tea waiting for us. So grateful for all the additional measures in place to keep us safe and allow us to still enjoy our holiday.

Lovely cottage with great facilities.

Loved the pool and games room. Beni & Jonathan very welcoming hosts, with a great location close to Kingsbridge and easy access to all of the South Hams. The Hen House spa is great - we enjoyed a wonderful massage there, and the cream tea on arrival in our cottage was a lovely touch.

This is a wonderful cottage with great facilities.

Our kids made daily use of the indoor heated pool and we used the gym as well as massage treatment on site. You couldn't ask for more in terms of facilities and location (v near to loads of beautiful beaches and coves). Hosts were very friendly and approachable yet left us to our own devices. Lovely welcome on arrival of fresh flowers and cream tea. Only slight criticism if i had to think of something is being a high ceilinged old building there were a few hard to reach cobwebs and two single beds pushed together for mummy and daddy were a bit of a challenge! This certainly did not dampen our trip though and overall would highly recommend this place and would love to return!

An excellent property with great facilities and hosts in an excellent location.

Brilliant week at fixit cottage.

Cottage is exactly as described and was just perfect for our week away. We had two 9month old babies with us and the living room area with a great stair gate was perfect for the babies to play when the weather wasn’t great, the swimming pool is a great addition too. If your a fisherman the on site lakes are great, especially if you are only able to complete short sessions like I could. The cottage is in the perfect location for exploring the south hams, kingsbridge and salcombe

One of the rails on the upper shelf of the dishwasher did not have a stop on it.

This was a real pain.

We had a wonderful time staying in Fixit cottage.

Its a great location for exploring South Devon. The cottage is in a really quiet location surrounded by beautiful countryside and lovely walks. The pool and games room was great for our kids (4 and 6) on rainy days. My husband and I were able to tag team using the gym / beauty room in the evenings which was an added bonus. Jonathan and Beni were great hosts and made us feel very welcome and at home.

The only downside was the noise from the upstairs bedroom.

Insulation is needed under the floor.

Fixit Cottage was above and beyond our expectations both in its location, comfort and cleanliness.

The level of equipment and fittings were of a very high standard. The owners made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Coombe Farm was the ideal location for exploring the South Hams.

Hosts were very friendly and provided fresh flowers and cream tea on our arrival. Hen House massage was also excellent and Sophie who did our massages certainly knew her stuff. Fixit cottage was an ideal base for exploring South Hams district of Devon. Would certainly return.

Fixit cottage was in a great central location, walking distance to Kingsbridge and also a short drive to many lovely beaches.

The enclosed garden was perfect for our toddler and she loved watching the tractors go by! The pool was a great bonus too. Beni was very friendly and welcoming and we would definitely recommend Fixit cottage and hope to return!

People need to be aware that the swimming pool shuts at 8.

00 pm. Pets are not allowed on the premises at all. Not even if you book them into kennels over night, and you want them to go in the garden while you get ready. People also need to be aware that this is a working farm, so guests need to be aware that they may get working up at 6.30 am as we did, by the farmer moving his cows around, or by barn doors slamming etc which also woke us up.

Fantastic cottage.

It was our 4th stay. It’s so nice to turn up and settle straight in. The hosts, neighbours and house are so welcoming I think we’ll be going back for years.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this cottage and on both occasions the welcoming was warm and friendly.

The cottage is well presented with good facilities which is why we have booked up again.

We were made most welcome, with special care taken to ensure that we were well-provisioned and safe when the snow arrived.

We enjoyed a warm and comfortable escape from the bustle of normal life.
