“Overall a nice property, starting to show some wear though .”

    ...

We had issue with no hot water in kitchen and dishwasher plugged in with extension lead, as a issue with previous guests . Electric also tripped a numerous times while there and kettle died in process so had to boil pans for water. Was offered electrician out but didn’t want to stay in waiting for them especially on holiday . Fridge freezer down stairs has rusty sharp edges which we caught our fingers on and lots of broken doors and very noisy. Washing machine fine , tumble dryer useless gave up on it . Into the upstairs room the carpet and fraying and trip hazard so should be looked at so close to the stairs . Then lastly I know it covid but there was no cleaning products what do ever except fairy liquid, you want it clean but leave no supplies wouldn’t need much and cheap enough to supply. Don’t expect to go shopping for these and not due to covid as we have stayed in other properties over the pandemic, Sykes, aspect, blue chip air bnb and all supplied . We did enjoy our stay , we wouldn’t let those issues spoil our break .

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay but were a little surprised to hear your comment on the property showing some wear; this has not been mention in any previous guests’ feedback. It is difficult to arrange for tradesmen to come out on a Sunday. However, our housekeeper organised for an electrician to attend the property during your stay and she would have been more than happy to wait in at the property for his arrival, so that he could have rectified the issue with the dishwasher and electrics during your stay. A plumber and an electrician have now dealt with these issues. Had you made us aware that the kettle had died during your stay, a new one would have been purchased. We have not found any sharp edges on the fridge freezer and are unsure of your comment referring to the many broken doors and very noisy. The tumble drier needed the filter cleaned, our housekeeper does this on a weekly basis during each changeover but if the tumble drier should be used a lot during a guests stay, it will need an additional de-fluffing. The upstairs carpet, has been checked and found not to be a trip hazard. Fairy liquid plus some dishwasher tablets are provided for the start of your stay. We were advised for safety reasons regarding children not to provide cleaning products but guests are more than welcome to bring their own with them. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. The property

Amble back from the surfy beach at Crantock over grass sand dunes to this beautiful coastal home.

Smartly refurbished from top to toe and redesigned in reverse level to maximise distant sea views, Seagrass is a refreshing representation of modern coastal living.

Separated from the lively resort of Newquay by the Gannel River, the traditional seaside village of Crantock is a more low-key but no less desirable holiday destination.

Seagrass is located at its centre, within a stroll from the restaurants, pubs and a convenience store. Accentuating the coastal feel, large picture windows bathe generous rooms with light and doors to a Juliet balcony in the open-plan living room invites fresh air in off the Atlantic coast.

During the cooler months, snuggle up on deep sofas and armchairs upholstered in rich colours and adorned with cushions in geometric patterns beside the warming wood burner.

The kitchen is laden with good quality appliances including a coffee maker and there is a huge dining table to seat ten guests.

Designed to promote a restful sleep, the four bedrooms on the ground floor feature a soothing neutral palette, white cotton linens and furniture crafted in natural wicker and wood.

There is a small fifth bedroom/snug, set into the eaves on the first floor which is perfect for children, complete with cute beds on low bases.

Practical for families, there are two bathrooms and a games room with table football.

Space is generous through and through.

The large, enclosed garden is safe for children and pets and the raised deck and rattan furniture sets the scene for barbecues and outdoor living. You are surrounded by stunning coastal scenery which can be better appreciated from the nearby coast path.

The beach is lifeguard patrolled during the main season and open to dogs year round.

Take the dog for a paddle in the sea, stopping en-route at the Fern Pit Café to admire the view and sample their legendary lobster or crab sandwich.

Bring surfboards or hire surf equipment straight from the beach.

Seagrass is also a perfect launch pad for exploring Cornwall's north coast with the visitor hotspots at Watergate Bay, Padstow, St Ives, Port Isaac and Newquay within an easy drive.
