“A beautiful cottage in the tranquil village of Paul.”

Comfortable beds and living space. Walking distance to Mousehole and the local pub, The Kings Arms. Great location for all we wanted to do, Sennen Cove, Porthcurno, Porth Chapel, St Ives, Penzance, Praa Sands and coastal walks. Always managed to find a parking space nearby. Minor downside is no garden for the dog, but there is a field only one minute walk away. Would have been good to have a drying rack that wasn’t broken and although there is a pull out line at the back, there was nothing to ...

The property

½ mile inland from Mousehole, in the village of Paul (pub, 15th century church), an 18th century mid-terrace cottage, beautifully restored.

Decked seating area (table/chairs) to the front and, at the back, outbuilding for storing your bicycles and surfboards.

Stable doors (small step) into kitchen/dining room (microwave, fridge with icebox, electric cooker) with tiled floor.

Sliding doors through to cosy living room with woodburner, TV/DVD and stable doors to decking.

From the kitchen, steep stairs up to two bedrooms - a bright and airy double (TV, limited clothes-hanging space), and a bunk room (double bed with single over); shower-room (suite).

A delightful cottage in an excellent location amongst west Cornwall's prettiest villages, handy for walking the Coast Path and a five minute stroll from a pub. Mousehole: perhaps the prettiest Cornish fishing village; horseshoe of granite cottages, shops, good restaurant, cafés, pub round its harbour.

Little sandy harbour beach.

Good walks.

Newlyn (busy fishing harbour), 1 mile.

Penzance, 2; Porthcurno (Minack Theatre), 8; Sennen (good sandy beach, surf school), 10; Land's End, about 12.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.

About the location

MOUSEHOLE

Penzance 4 miles; St Ives 12 miles.

A delightful fishing village nestled on a hillside and spilling down to the shore. The picturesque harbour, surrounded by its maze of winding narrow streets, draws visitors from miles around, while in the distance St Michael's Mount stands proudly in the centre of Mounts Bay. A fabulous coastline and miles of spectacular walking characterise the area, with seabirds, seals and wild headlands leading just around the corner to Land's End. The Minack cliff-top theatre is a few miles along the coast, while reminders of the region's ancient past in the form of Dolmens and standing stones appear everywhere. St Ives, with its stunning beaches, beautiful harbour and narrow winding streets is just 12 miles away.
