“The property is perfect as a holiday let, with just a few little personal niggles not worth mentioning but one issue does need addressing.”
I really cannot understand leaving a carpet with a large turned up corner at the top of the stairs, it would be so easy for someone to come up the stair, catch your foot and lunge forward, potentially hitting your head on the stair banister/railings. My wife did in fact do this but luckily, stayed on her feet and only suffered a bruised elbow. We had to turn the whole carpet over to avoid this happening again. The other rugs are also slip hazards, both these issues were the same 2 years ago when we stayed and have not been addressed. When you pay over £2000 for a weeks holiday, you should not find issues like this that have just been ignored.
I'm sorry to hear you experienced an issue with the corner of the hallway rug turning up. We've brought this to the attention of our caretaker, and she will do her best to ensure the problem is resolved.
As you may recall, the property features wooden floors with rugs throughout, all of which are fitted with non-slip underlay for added safety.
Should you choose to return in the future, we’d be more than happy to remove the rugs before your arrival.
