    • “No major complaints. But a grab rail in / over the bath would help some people get in and out of bath / shower. Also owner might want to invest in a dishwasher because who wants to wash pots when on holiday.”

    Mr Harding, Padstow, November 2018

    • “We had a great holiday and Helpful Holidays was there all the way.We love Apartment 66 this was our 4th time there now.To us it just gets better and better staying there.”

    Mr Knight, Tamworth, November 2018

    • “This was our 7th holiday in Apartment 66 and have already booked for next year. The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped (apart from not having a dishwasher!) but the over-riding factor of Fort Picklecombe apartments is the stunning view out to sea with naval shipping, yachts and ferries.”

    Mrs Viggers, WALSALL, October 2018

    • “Wonderfull appartment - clean - comfortable - great views over Plymouth sound .. a bit hard to reach ( narrow roads ) P.S. I'm German, please excuse my bad English.”

    Bell, AHRENSFELDE, June 2018

    • “The location is unique with views over Plymouth Sound. If you like watching any type of marine transport this is the place, bring your binoculars. It is a great pity that there is not a ready supply of hot water. The temperature on the immersion heater needs adjusting. It would be impossible to have a bath. To make it worse the showers don't deliver a good flow of water. Helpful Holidays exceeded our expectations but the apartment failed to meet expectations due to the problem with hot water during one of the coldest weeks of the winter.”

    Mr Welford, GUILDFORD, March 2018

The Property

On the top floor of Fort Picklecombe, a light and airy apartment with sensational right-out-to-sea views. Binoculars are essential here: so much fascinating shipping activity, possibly dolphins, certainly seals and cormorants. Door from passage to outer hall with plenty of room for coats, boots, surfboards. Front door to inner hall. Open-plan living/dining/kitchen (microwave, freezer, electric cooker, larder fridge) with TV/Sky/DVD/PVR and sliding glazed doors to balcony. Two double bedrooms, one with 5' bed and one with en suite shower-room (suite); bathroom (suite, shower over bath). A wonderful place for walking, daydreaming and relaxing.

Fort Picklecombe: built in 1848 to protect Plymouth, this fort is now converted into excellent apartments. Stunning views of sea/shipping (sometimes warships). Long drive leads to it.
