The property

Church Thatch is a three-storey thatched cottage which can be found in the village of Abbotskerswell in South Devon.

Perfect for celebrating those special occasions or simply for a family catch up, Church Thatch is perfectly placed for enjoying the Dartmoor National Park and the south west coastline.

Set across three floors, the cottage has been thoughtfully renovated throughout with several traditional touches, such as the limestone flooring and original oak doors.

Choose to relax in the sitting room beside the cast iron wood burner within the inglenook fireplace, or head to the snug for an evening of entertainment with a flatscreen TV and Xbox 360.

The magnificent kitchen hosts a variety of appliances to utilise, including the gas fired 4-oven shiny AGA cooker, which is sure to come in handy for those great, big family feasts.

After a game of football on the floodlight Astro turf mini football pitch or just a glass of wine on the south facing patio, it’s time for bed in one of the four tastefully furnished bedrooms on the first floor.

There is also a stunning medieval style family bedroom on second floor, boasting a 4ft double and single bed, plus a modern en-suite shower room.

The town of Newton Abbot is close by and is home to a large range of shops and restaurants, while further afield Torquay is worth visiting with its stunning beaches and UNESCO recognised Global Geopark.
