“A great location to be able to enjoy the surrounding area.”

We are really familiar with this area as we have stayed in many of the cottages available through Sykes in Chagford. We realise that this cottage is new on sykes but sadly we do have feedback as it didnt meet the same standard of others. Advise includes -Welcome pack (even if its just milk) -Toilet roll in the bathroom -More than 1 towel each -Check lights are working (bedroom) -Bin bags provided for checkout -Washing up liquid (we left for next guests) -Garden needs tending -Dog hairs ...

We are really familiar with this area as we have stayed in many of the cottages available through Sykes in Chagford. We realise that this cottage is new on sykes but sadly we do have feedback as it didnt meet the same standard of others. Advise includes -Welcome pack (even if its just milk) -Toilet roll in the bathroom -More than 1 towel each -Check lights are working (bedroom) -Bin bags provided for checkout -Washing up liquid (we left for next guests) -Garden needs tending -Dog hairs in the bed and around the property (we don't own a dog) -The information pack lists everything not to do whilst staying which is important but doesn't make you feel welcome. This cottage has so much potential and the final suggestion would be to create a welcome booklet which includes information on end of stay directions for bedding and rubbish. Perhaps seeking advice from another local cottage owner may help develop the aspects highlighted above. We hope that this is of use moving forward.

Dear Andrew , thank you very much for your feedback on your stay at Bluebell. I provide a starter pack which includes... coffee, tea, sugar, cooking oil, salt, pepper, hand soap, kitchen towelling, toilet paper, washing up liquid, complimentary toiletries, a bin bag for rubbish, logs, kindling and firelighters and more! I apologise if there was an oversight of anything missing and for the presence of any dog hair. I have addressed this with my caretaker to double check in the future. Regarding the garden, it is regularly maintained and the grass is cut once a week during the summer months. In the welcome pack there is a wealth of information regarding places to visit, best beaches, useful contact numbers, emergency services, shop information, activities to do with the children etc... There is also a contact number in case of any maintenance issues, i.e .a light bulb not working etc. I would have gladly popped over and changed the light bulb for you. I will take your comment on board regarding check out details and add this to the information booklet. I hope you will visit Bluebell again in the future and see that any snagging has now been resolved. My best wishes, Donna Property Owner
