A mile from the cottage is a 16th century coaching inn serving locally sourced produce and farther down the road is the wonderful Broomhill Sculpture Gardens with award-winning restaurant and host of the National Sculpture Prize, making a great day out.
The wonderful North Devon beaches are only ten minute drives’ away and offer long sandy beaches such as Croyde, Saunton and Woolacombe.
The harbour town of Ilfracombe has a lively heritage harbour where local boats are available for trips and fishing; or a special day out by ferry to Lundy Island plus a host of welcoming pubs and restaurants, Damien Hirst's Verity statue, and the quirky looking Landmark Theatre.
