We appreciated the delicious scones that were left for us and the fresh flowers in the cottage. When I booked the cottage, the swimming pool was a factor in my decision to book. Fortunately, I asked the owner a question about it and was told it was closed for the winter. This was disappointing and to be fair to the owner, she did offer to cancel the booking free of charge. We declined this offer and obviously did stay at the cottage. I think it should be very clear to anyone considering booking that the pool is closed during the winter. If I hadn't mentioned it, we would have arrived expecting it be to open and we would have been very disappointed. It was a shame because it annoyed me before we arrived and in fact the cottage was great.

Thank you very much for your feedback, we're really pleased to hear how much you liked Whimple Cottage and we're happy you had such a good time. The shared outdoor pool is available between May to September (the warmer months!) and although we've tried hard to make this obvious in the description for the property, we're sorry you missed this and were left disappointed. We're delighted that despite this, you still had a fantastic stay and we will look forward to seeing you again soon! Owner relations
