1½ miles up from Welcombe Mouth, a prettily furnished cottage attached to an old chapel in the tiny epicentre of Welcombe village, 100 yards from the ancient thatched pub.
For the reasonably fit, the cove is a pleasant valley walk downhill (parking by the beach).
