    “A beautiful and comfortable place to stay.”

    The kitchen is very well equipped with thoughtful touches such as plenty of dishwasher tabs, spare bin liners, foil and clingfilm. It's set in a pretty and quiet valley with a lot to see and do nearby. I highly recommend a visit.

Midsomer Norton 1.5 miles; Wells 9.1 miles; Bath 12.5 miles.

Chilcompton is a small village on the northern edge of Somerset, with a history of farming and mining. There is two pubs serving food, a Co Op, the St John Baptist Church, and a playground with a skate park. The village is set between four Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty; Cotswolds to the north, North Wessex Downs to the east, Cranborne Chase to the south with the popular Longleat Safari Park and Mendip Hills to the west with the breathtaking Wookey Hole Caves. A short drive takes you into the small town of Midsomer Norton which has a number of shops, cafes and pubs with the lovely River Somer flowing through the middle, making a lovely place to sit and relax, or feed the ducks. Slightly further is the city of Bath which offers river cruises alonng the River Avon and is home to a Roman bathhouse and temple, with spring water, Pump Room restaurant and a museum, as well as other interesting museums, art galleries, theatres and of course, the striking Bath Abbey. Also within an hour you can visit Stonehenge which is a World Heritage Site and the best known prehistoric monument in Europe. Chilcompton is a great base for discovering the beauty of your surroundings.
