“The cottage was clean and well presented but there are some things I would highlight which if addressed would help future guests - • There are no lights near the hot tub.”

This makes using it at night very dangerous as you can’t see the steps. We were having to use the torch on one of our phones. Not ideal near water! • The TV is extremely poor. Most evenings the signal was so poor there was no picture. One evening we could get one channel! • The garden is an absolute disgrace. Everything is dead and it is not well kept at all. I know it has been very dry but it’s nothing a bit of water and upkeep wouldn’t solve. It put us off sitting out in it to be honest. When you are paying over £1000 for what’s essentially three and a bit days, you expect the garden to be maintained. • We didn’t see the owner at all. You don’t want people in your face but a courtesy visit on the first or second day would have been nice. Despite this, the cottage is clean and comfortable. The electric charger was a real benefit and one of the reasons I booked. The close proximity to Sidmouth and Lyme Regis is perfect as they are both lovely towns.
