“Had a fantastic time at spaniel cottage it had everything you would need for a lovely holiday, Some really lovely walks from the front door.”

Sykes need to update their website as it was still stating a shop and pub in the village a couple of days before we went but these are both now closed it would have been nice to call in the pub for a meal a few nights but this didn’t take away from our enjoyment

About the location

CARHAMPTON

Dunster 1.6 miles; Minehead 4 miles.

Carhampton is an attractive village close to the Exmoor National Park, with a church and community orchard. There are lovely walks from the village, over the deer park to Dunster, and through farmland to the beach. The village is less than 4 miles from the popular seaside resort of Minehead, which occupies a wonderful sheltered spot beneath the dramatic North Hill, on the lovely West Somerset coast. This welcoming town boasts a mile-long esplanade, providing a wonderful backdrop to the golden beach, whilst the pretty harbour, visited in the summer by the famous paddle steamer Waverley, offers excellent fishing opportunities.
