Reviews

    • “We had a lovely week. Our two dogs were able to go out into the garden which was fully enclosed. We needed to put the heating on when it turned chilly in the evenings, the barn warmed up very quickly and kept us warm. The beaches nearby were beautiful, with long stretches of sand. Families with children would especially like it here, plenty of farm animals to meet. A very quiet rural place although shops are not too far away.”

Mrs Wilson, Staverton, Daventry, September 2018

    • “The cottage is lovely and we had a great time. It has been thoughtfully equipped with everything you'll need for a weeks stay and finished to a high standard. The surrounding views are beautiful and the kids loved seeing the farm animals. It would be great if it had its own WiFi though, as the shared signal is weak.”

    Dr Hallewell, Didcot, August 2018

    • “It's a lovely cottage in a great location. Very tranquil. The only negative was the garden is not totally enclosed as described in the description . We specifically choose accommodation that has an enclosed garden where we can allow the dogs to come and go freely. The garden wall can be cleared your dog can jump 3ft. Having dogs that have high prey drives ours were constantly trying to catch the free range chickens .They had to be supervised at all times outside. This is something that could easily be rectified by the owners but did restrict the time we spent and the dogs spent in the garden.”

    Miss Bradshaw, Warwick, July 2018

    • “Billy's Barn has everything you wish for. Five star accomadation and the hosts go that extra mile to make you feel very welcome. A welcome basket of coffee wine fudge and flowers greets you. Everything is catered for from fresh towels games for children and even treats for your dog. The view from the lounge window is amazing especially to watch the sunrise and set. The animals are lovely to watch in the paddocks amongst the beautiful countryside setting. The garden is fenced off and perfectly safe. The best self catering we've visited and will be returning to frequently. Can't wait till we visit again.”

    Mr Cudworth, Swadlincote, June 2018

    • “Billy's Barn is clean comfortable and well equipped. The owners live on site and are lovely. Always available for a chat but pretty sure they'd leave you to get on with your holiday if that's what you want. It's on a small quiet farm with a few pigs, sheep, chickens, goat and a couple of dogs. Go and see the animals - or not. Like the owners, they're available but your choice if you see them or not. Definitely highly recommend a holiday here and would go again.”

    Mr Archer, Gravesend, June 2018

    • “Billy's Barn was a fantastic cottage, clean, comfortable, was in a lovely location, and the animals on the farm were a treat. Maggie and Charlie the owners were lovely and did all they could to make our holiday a peaceful, relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone interested in a holiday to Devon.”

Mrs Alderson, Newton Aycliffe, May 2018

    • “Excellent accommodation, very comfortable everything provided. Enjoyed sitting the in the sun in the lovely enclosed garden overlooking the beautiful Devon countryside. Friendly and extremely helpful owners, who really care about the comfort and enjoyment of their, guests.”

    Mrs Hallmark, Congleton, May 2018

    • “Billy's Barn is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday with as much or as little to do as you please. The setting is idyllic and opening the lounge windows each morning and seeing new born lambs frollicking in the field was such a tonic. The owners Maggi and Charlie were also a delight, very helpful and so welcoming. The cottage had everything we needed and Molly our Golden Retriever enjoyed the secure garden and we could relax knowing she was safe and sound. There were so many interesting places to visit that our week flew by and it was lovely to find so many dog friendly places to eat like the lovely Urchins in Bude and The Market Kitchen in Appledore.. We can highly recommend Billy' s Barn and we look forward to visiting again.”

    Mr Williamson, DORCHESTER, March 2018

    • “We had a lovely relaxing break at Billy's Barn with our dogs. The accommodation was perfect and the owners, Maggie and Charlie were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, we had to leave a day early due to the snow that was heading our way! Maybe we should have stayed, it would have been a very comfortable and cosy place to be snowed in at! Will definitely recommend to friends and family.”

    Mrs Adams, Southampton, February 2018
