The property

Located in the beautiful South Brent is this impressive traditional country home, Garfield House.

The property is perfectly situated with a private enclosed garden and the town centre a mere stone’s throw away. The country style cottage is filled with charm and character, and with five bedrooms it's perfect for a getaway with family or friends.

As you enter the traditional kitchen, you will find classic features such as wooden worktops, range cooker and Belfast sink.

Following this is the dining room, which boasts a large dining table and a Rayburn cooker for meal preparation.

Next is the snug which houses has a warming open fire.

From here is the welcoming drawing room, which is the ideal location to snuggle up with your loved ones in front of the wood burning fire.

On the ground floor is a charming double with king size bed with en-suite bathroom and separate shower.

Stairs from the drawing room lead up to two bedrooms; first a large master bedroom with 5' double bed, sofa and spacious en-suite (bath plus separate shower) and a second king size bedroom with large, smart bathroom (plus separate shower).

Walk through the second bedroom this floor to another landing and two further bedrooms; a twin room, and a double bedroom with garden views and door (with steps to garden) and a family bathroom with roll top bath. Garfield House boasts an enclosed garden area, ideal for the kids or dogs to stretch their legs.

You will also find bench seating for summer evening dining in the garden.

The property is perfectly situated on the southern slopes of Dartmoor, with just 1 mile to the nearest shop and pub.

From here you can also visit historic Totnes, a 20-minute drive, or take a walk along the Bantham to Thurlestone coastal path.

Located on the Southern edge of Dartmoor, England is the charming village of South Brent. This village is packed with history which dates back to the Bronze Age meaning that many hut circles, enclosures and barrows are found on the high moorlands. Moreover, in on Brent Hill there is a steep hill where ruins of an ancient building and and windmill remain, said to have been established in 1790. The village is within the boundaries of Dartmoor National Park, with several shops and pubs in the village centre. Nearby is Pennywell Farm which is only 3 miles away, Wrangaton Golf Club 3 miles away, Totnes Castle which is 6.1 miles away and Dainton Park Golf Club can be found within 10 miles of the village.
