The property

This delightful, first-floor apartment, The Loft, rests in the centre of Minehead, only a short walk to the beach and promenade.

A great base for couples, this retreat makes a peaceful getaway all-year-round, perfect for exploring the delights of Somerset.

Park up off-road and make your way up to the apartment.

From the front door, a flight of stairs will bring you into the well-equipped kitchen, where you can rustle up delicious meals to enjoy throughout your stay.

Off this is the bathroom, offering both a bath and a shower over, where you can prepare for your impending days, suiting all preferences.

Leading from the kitchen you can wander out onto the sun terrace and soak up the early morning sun, or relax outside with a cold drink before heading out for the night.

Returning indoors, two steps will bring you to the sitting room featuring exposed beams, and plush seating, offering a welcoming place to watch Smart TV at your own leisure, or delve into one of the books on offer with the electric fire alight for a warming glow.

Next door is a king-size bedroom, spacious and inviting with a pleasant street outlook.

From the apartment, a short walk takes you to the wonderful range of pubs and restaurants where you can dine out and sample local menus.

For a more active break, Minehead marks the beginning of the scenic South West Coast Path which takes you around the incredible beaches and coastline in the North Devon area.

Here you will also find the fascinating South West Steam Railway Head to nearby New Porlock for a delightful day trip where you can discover the quaint shops or the Hawkcombe Woods National Nature Reserve.

Further afield there is Exmoor National Park with its wooded valleys, pretty bridle paths and heather-clad moors, well worth a visit, along with the magnificent Norman Castle at nearby Dunster.

Taunton 24 miles; Bridgwater 27 miles.

The popular seaside resort of Minehead occupies a wonderful sheltered spot beneath the dramatic North Hill, on the lovely West Somerset Coast. This welcoming town boasts a mile long esplanade, providing a wonderful backdrop to the golden beach, whilst the pretty harbour, visited in the summer by the famous paddle steamer Waverley, offers excellent fishing opportunities. Enjoy a nostalgic steam train journey from the seafront on the West Somerset Railway, or visit Blenheim Gardens, winner of many awards for its beautiful floral displays. Renowned for the largest herd of red deer in England, Exmoor National Park with its wooded valleys, pretty bridlepaths and heather clad moors, is well worth a visit, whilst the magnificent Norman Castle at nearby Dunster is a must.
