The Bakery in Watchet lived up to all of our expectations, it was superb in every respect being roomy, modern, well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean; the moment we walked into the cottage we felt at home.
The cottage is ideally located in the centre of this charming seaside harbour town yet it had a delightful private garden and an enclosed courtyard with six allocated, well set-out and marked parking spaces. In addition, there is street parking outside and car parks close by.
The owners have prepared and excellent manual and visitors guide folder that contained everything you needed to know about the property, Watchet and the surrounding area. In addition, Chris and Christine have provided OS maps, booklets and information guides to enable you to explore Watchet and the surrounding area and attractions either on foot by car or public transport.
Being modern the cottage is well insulated and has an efficient Combi boiler providing both hot water and central heating. We visited in October and did not need the central heating but visitors would be kept warm and cosy during in the cold winter months. There is even a log burner set up and ready to light with fuel provided; not that it would be needed.
