“The holiday cabin is a bit misleading in the advert.”
First of all Syke Cottages didn’t make it very clear that I actually paid for 2 nights and we only stayed 1 and after contacting them I found they were very unhelpful and weren’t interested in the slightest in some sort of refund/compensation. The cabin is situated on a hill directly next to another cabin with the owners right next to you. We felt as though you feel your being watched all the time. In terms of facilities the hot tub was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. I was very disappointed with the heating not working as it’s the only source of heating in the cabin. We were told to use a £15 plug in heater in the cabin which really isn’t good enough for the money we paid. The bathroom is absolutely freezing cold too with nowhere to actually dry your towels etc.
I am sorry to learn that the stay did not match your expectations.
I am somewhat perplexed by the statements you have made. The properties are not directly next to one another, the other pod is roughly 25 meters away and although I live nearby I am still roughly 40 meters away from both pods.
The pod you had stayed in offers views of the moors directly opposite and is surrounded by agricultural land.
I am sorry for issue with the heating at the time as the underfloor heating in the bedroom was not reaching the maximum temperature but the additional heating provided was more than adequate as I never like to see my guest feeling uncomfortable.
There is not heating in the bathroom but due to the size of the pod, if you simply open the bathroom door, the heat from the living area should radiate throughout and warm up the bathroom.
Thank you for your comments.
Best wishes, The owner of Suffolk.
