The cottage was comfortable and fairly well equipped. Our host was friendly without being intrusive and keen to tell to us about places of interest nearby. There was also a good selection of leaflets detailing local attractions.

We had intended to take our dog, but sadly he died before our trip: although the cottage had a private garden and access to a field behind it, these would not have been secure for a small dog - there was a gap under the front gate and no gate between the front and back gardens. No problem for a larger dog. The cottage was generally well maintained but the kitchen and bathroom did require cleaning on arrival. There is no shop as stated in the listing but there is a pub about half a mile's walk from the cottage.
We understand that the cottage has been sold and hope the new owners will be very happy there.
