Why visit Seaton?

Seaton is a seaside town and fishing harbour in East Devon. Located on the Jurassic Coast, Seaton is a great base for exploring the long stretch of coastline, water sports and relaxing on the beach. Seaton Beach is a large pebble beach with a café and a place to hire kayaks and paddleboards.

The coastline is part of the South West Coast Path which runs all the way to Lyme Regis in one direction and Exmouth in the other direction. The area is a haven for birds, plants and other wildlife so keep an eye out if you are walking along the trails. Seaton wetlands is an area of marshland and reedbeds that are home to numerous species of birds. There are five hides dotted around the marshland where you can sit for hours and watch the birds.

Seaton has some great local attractions to keep people of all ages entertained. Travel back in time when you visit Seaton Jurassic and uncover what the world was like 200 million years ago. Seaton Tramway operates heritage trams that travel along the Axe Valley to Colyton - keep an eye out for birds and other wildlife as you pass through two nature reserves.
