Why book a cottage in Port Gaverne?
The small hamlet of Port Gaverne is situated on the north coast of Cornwall set within a sheltered inlet. It was previously used as a port for the export of slate and coal and also had a small shipbuilding industry. It is a peaceful and tranquil location with a pleasant sandy beach and rock pools and caves to explore. As the beach is so sheltered it is an ideal spot for children to splash about in the water. It is also dog-friendly all year around so your four legged friend can join you.
It is a good spot for outdoor activities with kayaking and coasteering both available to try. There are stunning views along the coastal paths and the South West Coast Path runs all the way to Tintagel. The neighbouring village of Port Isaac is a beautiful place to enjoy a drink and watch the fishing boats return with their daily catch.
