Why visit Beesands?

Beesands is a very small fishing village located on the south coast of Devon. The main catch is crab and lobster but divers also scour the seabed for scallops. The South West Coast Path runs for miles in both directions and if you are a keen walker you can join the path and head east towards Dartmouth or west to East Portlemouth. 

Beesands Beach is an award winning beach, holding a Blue Flag for excellent cleanliness and safety. Sit and watch the fishing boats return with their daily catch and sample some of the local delicacies from the crab shack, Britannia at the Beach.

Places to visit near Beesands

Travel inland and visit the market town of Kingsbridge. The spectacular estuary provides many opportunities for water sports and activities; such as sailing, kayaking and windsurfing. Travel east along the coast from Beesands and you will find some beautiful towns and villages nestled along the banks of the River Dart. Spend a day exploring Dartmouth, Dittisham or Stoke Gabriel.
