Why book a Dawlish cottage?

Dawlish is a seaside town on the south coast of Devon. The small coastal stream of Dawlish Water, known locally as The Brook, flows through the town and is where you can usually find the famous black swans.

Take your pick from two great beaches in the area. Dawlish Town Beach is a large, sandy beach just a short walk from the town that is ideal for building sand castles. Dawlish Warren Beach, just a few miles down the road, holds a blue flag for cleanliness and is surrounded by sand dunes. The beach backs on to Dawlish Warren Nature Reserve, home to hundreds of different types of plants and thousands of birds.

Explore the beautiful countryside by walking the South West Coast Path or cycling along the Exe Estuary Trail.

Places to visit near Dawlish

Cross to the east side of the River Exe and visit the large port town of Exmouth. Follow the river north and travel to the village of Lympstone and the town of Topsham.

Head south to visit the pretty village of Shaldon and the town of Teignmouth, both settled at the mouth of the River Teign.
