    • “We loved the peaceful secluded setting, waking to the sound of birds. Not a car to be heard, just occasional tractor The barn has been cleverly converted with an understated luxury feel, yet feels like 'home from home'. Set in a secluded valley with beautiful views from the upstairs lounge through the large velux windows. Access to wonderful hiking trails from the track running alongside the property. We took our dog and spent 4day exploring with her. Though the description says one bathroom there are in fact two, one ensuite with a bath and a shower room as well. The small private garden is perfect for watching the sunsets with a good wine, or sunrises with a cuppa. We will be back”

    • “We were surprised to find that there was no internet connection in the surrounding area and had to find areas around the countryside to facilitate this On our first night the electricity failed,we found ourselves in a strange house in the dark,we couldn’t flush toilets,shower or wash because the water was on a pump,we couldn’t inform the owners because of course we didn’t have internet connection and we had to rely on the generosity of a neighbor up the lane who allowed us to use their land line the following day, the power was returned that day,however the house owner reassured us that we would get a monetary compensation for our discomfort and we expect that in the near future along with our £100-00 bond money Having said all of that,the cottage was clean and comfortable and surroundings were breathtaking”

The Property

Parracombe: tiny village (great pub, medieval church with famous Georgian interior, PO/shop, pottery) near Exmoor's dramatic coast in a valley midway between Lynton/Lynmouth, 8 miles, and Combe Martin, 6 miles. This is steep, dramatic, deep-valleyed, farming, wooded and moorland country: very beautiful. Wide sandy beaches at Woolacombe and Croyde, about 12 miles.


Over two floors, 1 ground floor king size double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Separate Shower Room. First floor open plan living area with sitting area, kitchen and dining area.
